Setting an Intention for a New Season

Today is the Spring Equinox, a day of balance. The sun and moon share equal time in the sky above us; it’s a day of balance and harmony. The harsh cold of the winter has begun to hibernate once again, while the heat of the summer is beginning to awaken slowly but surely. This is a time to release the old and invite in the new. We begin to see butterflies pollinate, the birds building their nests, and mother Gaia waking up to her new earth as everything begins to bloom.

A Simple Yes Powerful Intention

With every season, I like to set an intention that will serve me in the coming months. And when things seem tough, I return to my intention, as it always serves me and my wellbeing. My intention for the spring equinox is this: “ I release all that no longer serves me, and nurture that which is ready to blossom” I chose this intention for two reasons; 1. Spring is a time of rejuvenation and excitement. The wounds that have been healed over the winter and confronted for my highest good are ready to be released. I have done the work, and I no longer need to hold onto the residue 2. When releasing the old, I naturally make way for new opportunities and experiences ready to serve me in the now moment. This is the time to nourish those opportunities and give them the respected room to grow.

What Do You Want To Call Into Your Life?

What intention can you set for the following months? What can serve you and your highest good? What grace can you extend to yourself when you may need it the most? Look back at the last few months and how you’ve been feeling?; this will give you a good idea of what you may want to call into your life. I want to state that an intention is not a promise or a declaration. It’s a guidepost of who you want to be, how you want to live, and how you want to show up for the world. Your mental health, happiness, and livelihood are important. If you need to be vulnerable, let it all out. If you feel you need to hold yourself accountable in a healthy, loving way, step up for yourself. You deserve it!

Dance Like The Trees

Be kind to yourself, love who and where you are in the now moment, and give yourself the gift of grace. During this time of transition, take time out of your busy day-to-day schedule. Maybe take a mental health day and reset, or do something that you haven’t been able to prioritize. Allow yourself space and room to grow and blossom. The sun is out, the air is crisp, and cherry blossom trees have started their dance in the warm spring breeze. I wish you all the abundance, from your relationships and experiences to your finances and happiness. From my heart to yours, I send love and gratitude for taking the time to read this.

Blessings, Emily Wheeler
