Land Acknowledgment

Mystic Rose Medicine acknowledges the sacred ancestral land of our local community, honoring the many tribes & villages who have resided here for generations. The land we occupy has been unjustly taken from these communities. These tribes include the Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Multnomah, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, & many others who dwell along the Columbia & Willamette Rivers. My heart overflows with gratitude & appreciation for those who have lovingly cared for this land, & I give thanks for their enduring resilience.

Below, you will find links to various ways of supporting communities that have been historically marginalized. This message is vital. We live in a society woven with systemic privilege & bias against those in marginalized communities. Mystic Rose Medicine stands unwaveringly with & for human rights, inclusivity & equality.

Walking Beside Indigenous Women & Girls

Since colonization, Indigenous women and girls have carried disproportionate burdens of violence, abduction, and systemic harm. The reverberations of unresolved trauma ripple through generations, leaving many vulnerable, while barriers in resources, protection, and response continue to fail them.

And still, their resilience and wisdom remain; an unbroken thread of strength that calls us to rise beside them.

This is the work of awareness, of advocacy, of education. It is the work of restoring support, amplifying voices, and weaving a more just and compassionate future.

LGBTQIA+

Queer and Trans folks carry challenges that reach into the ground of belonging; facing discrimination, erasure, and systemic barriers that no one should ever have to endure.

This is a moment to lean in with open hearts… to listen, to advocate, and to stand as part of the change that is so deeply needed.

If you are not part of the LGBTQIA+ community but feel called to walk alongside in solidarity, begin with learning the history held here. It is a wellspring of resilience, brilliance, and creativity. These stories not only honor those who paved the way, but also illuminate the path toward a future woven with justice, compassion, and care.

“No matter how big a nation is, it is no stronger than its weakest people, & as long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you might otherwise.”

— Marian Anderson

Black Lives Matter

This is a moment inviting us to rise with tenderness and awareness… to nurture cultural intelligence, equality, inclusion, diversity, and acceptance. For those of us who hold privilege, especially white folks, we are being called into a deeper kind of listening, into humility, and into courageous participation in the work of systemic change. Each of us has a role; however small it may feel, in shaping a more just and compassionate world.

This change unfolds in the choices of our daily lives: in how we spend our money, in the leaders we choose to support, and in the conversations we allow to soften and awaken the hearts of those closest to us. We are asked to see clearly the discrimination that has kept so many from the rights and dignity they deserve. And from this seeing, to choose differently… to use the privilege we hold as a tool for advocacy, for love, and for repair.

Giving back

A portion of all proceeds is donated to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) & to WILD. As humans living on this earth, we must contribute our efforts collectively to see the change we desire. I’m grateful for all those who choose to work with me, as we support the collapse of systemic discrimination & the fight against climate change. This is to ensure that more folks have access to holistic care no matter their race, ethnicity, sexual preference, gender identity, nationality, class, religious belief, or age; I offer sliding scale to ease financial stressors & barriers.
