How To Energetically Clear Your Home
The movement of energy happens every day, all around us; it's the intentional practice of clearing energy that makes a space feel lighter, freer, and more spacious. I'm sure you've heard of Fung Shui or maybe even dowsing your space; these are excellent ways to move energy and generate the frequency change you desire. However, today we will discuss smoke, sound, crystals, and the intention to clear your space. These are effortless tools that anyone can use. You don't need to be an energy practitioner, shaman, or reiki master. All you need is to feel into which one (or several) speak to you, get some supplies, and move with your heart.
Sage
This white or blue-grey plant has been used for centuries to cast protection, grant wishes (manifestation), and clear stagnant energy. When burned, it releases negative ions into the air, neutralizing toxins such as mold, dust, pollution, etc., thus creating a clean environment while also resolving any toxic frequencies that may be lingering from an old tenant or even your mother-in-law. The smoke of sage also decently impacts your nervous system, allowing you to relax, and step into the present moment. This is important, as you are the keeper of your home, and your energetic field directly impacts the frecency in your space. For this reason, I recommend clearing your space regularly, especially if you are healing old traumas and wounds. For example, if you have a breakthrough in therapy, or have released a substantial emotional block, do yourself a favor and reset your space to reflect your internal frequency. Anytime you release something, allow your home to release the energy.
Palo Santo
From priests to shamans, spiritual beings have been using palo santo to purify spaces for millennia. Some use it ritual to cultivate a deeper connection to source, others use it for grounding their energy into mother Gaia, and many have been known to clear negative emotions and raise the vibration in their energetic field. For this reason, Palo Santo is a beautiful wood to burn in your home, as it brings the earth element in, grounding your space and clearing toxicity that is ready to be released.
Crystal Grid
Some of you may have heard of crystal grids, using sacred geometry, and this is a great way to cleanse a room; however, I am going to be talking about gridding your entire home. It's a process of placing crystals with high vibrational energy, usually used to shift the energy from a low dense frequency to a high vibe. You can use these crystals: selenite, kyanite, clear quartz, Euphoralite, Lemurian Quartz, and watermelon tourmaline. Now, not all of these will be found at your local crystal shop. Still, I put some common ones on here that anyone can find, as well as some unique ones for you rock hounds out there looking to discover a new crystal. So look into the meaning of each one, and feel into the energy you need at your home at this time. Once you have one picked out, count the corners in your room and purchase a crystal for each one. You can choose to have different crystals for each room or put one all over your house; it's totally up to you. I recently went to a home with selenate and a window seal in every corner. The windows are unnecessary; however, go for them if that’s your vibe.
Tingsha Bells
Tingsha bells originated in Tibet and are an incredible way to clear energy. These bells are used in breath work, opening and closing ceremonies, Fung Shui, and yoga. The sound of the bells disrupts stagnant energy and fills empty space (similar to the smoke of sage). When rung in each room corner, the frequencies open up the space to promote the natural flow of energy. Tingsha bells traditionally have symbols that denote the bell's value. For instance, if your tingsha bells have the Dharma wheel on it represents the never-ending journey to self-improvement. They symbolize longevity and prosperity if they have a treasure vase on them. I should note that these bells typically radiate at a higher frequency, so if you want something more grounding, look to the next section, where you can find different toned sounds.
Singing Bowls
This is a very versatile way to clear sound. You can use a crystal singing bowl or a Tibetan bowl. Both will come in different frequencies ranging from 110 Hz to 660 Hz, allowing you to choose the vibration you want to use when cleansing your space.
Intentional Language
Your intention is everything when it comes to energy clearing. I encourage you to speak about what you are removing, what you are releasing, and what you choose to bring in. Whether it's love, compassion, or patience and presence, think about what you need more of in your space. Use your words to speak it into existence when you are clearing with smoke, sound, or crystals.
